4/4/2015 11:39:00 AMVery slim in 8-2 and 9 for the last several years. I used to love winter/spring blackmouth but just not much there anymore. I suspect its lack of biomass.... not enough baitfish. Port Angeles has been good. Thanks for the report.

4/4/2015 12:40:00 PMI remember several years back when you could see salmon runs shimmering on the water off the south end of Kayak Point. They were slammin salmon that year :)

4/5/2015 2:56:00 PMHate to sound like Al Gore but I think climate change has a lot to do with it. Been a long time since we have had a long cold winter. So rivers are dumping freshwater in 8-2, and to some extent south part of 9, all winter, Skagit from the north Snohomish and Duwamish from the south. Water is really diluted, salinity content way off from a healthy eco system. Bait fish leave or die etc etc etc. Just my opinion. Further out like Port Townsend Mid Channel bank, Port Angeles etc salinity content healthy, eco system healthy and bada bing lots of fish.
