This was My wife's and I's first time fishing humpys from a boat in the salt. Other years had a small boat for the river, and buzz bombs off the beach, but first time trolling a flasher, and hoochie on a downrigger

We have just one rigger and the other rod we used a small humpy special flasher and hoochie with a 4oz banana weight. Got one fish on that and the other 4 on the downrigger.

5 fish total in about 7-8 hours. Only lost one. It was tough, exspecally seeing people limit out all around us in half the time. But still got fish so I'm very happy

Plus a bonus, when I got home I realized one of those little Humpy hens had really large scales and funny enough....no spots on her tail....wait, what?! COHO!

Yep. Fillets are proof. BBQ tonight baby!

Fun day. Boat launch was a zoo....I'm tired.

Were you fishing by the shipwreck or farther north by Kayak Point?
