Started around 8:00 AM. trolled one at 25 the other at 50. Finder showed lots of fish between 30 and 50, trolled back and forth threw them with everything we had, not a single taker! We tried spoons, needle fish, plugs, wedding rings with worm and pop gear. Not a single bite.
We were in about 60 feet of water, so I finally told my buddy, you know when I was a kid we use to fish off the bottom! Used worm and a hook, none of this fancy crap! We shut off the motor, dropped to the bottom with a slip sinker, hook and worm and Bam!!! Fish on, 19 inch trout! Ten minutes later Bam, another 17 inch trout!!! Old ways are sometimes better! Great day on the lake.
