Hit the river right before 2p. Met up with Kinghunter and Alex, my son was with me as well. I was using pink corky and yarn and about 2 feet of leader. My son had one on as well but lost it right at the shore. Joel was helping his daughter cast around and foul hooked something that was floating dead in the water with his daughter's "Dora" rod..it was pretty nasty. It was about 4 pounds. I did see kid across the river catch what he was calling a native and it was pretty bright. He let it go.. Overall a very good time and I am slowly learning how to fish in rivers.

Jens, that looks like the same ugly one that was caught with my daughter's dora rod. I think we need to start earlier next time. It seems FISHINROB catches most of them very early. Anyway it was good to wet the lines, maybe next time leave all the kids at home. Next time take a pic of the river and give a better report.

That kid I seen hook and release that fish after talking to some of the locals in the parking lot was in fact a nice bright steelie..easily 10++-
Kinghunter, both my son and I agree that thing you said you caught with your daughter's rod, was a red sweater that some lost swimmer left behind from 1980. I think you need to go get your eyes checked. Why did you try that sweater on by the way? eww.
Fishingrob, yeah buddy. The river closes this weekend, if you go holler at me so I can call in sick.

We started pretty late. I arrived around 1pm and then Jens arrived around 2pm. I brought both of my kids with me since my wife wanted a break from the kids. It was alot of work trying to get their poles out and when Jens arrived I was able to fish with my pole. I thought your son Trenton's glasses was broken and you need to get glasses but won't, so who needs to get their eyes checked. Did the kid say why he relased the fish back? Give me holler when you go out next.
