7/29/2009 12:14:00 PMi went camping with a friend at the Tilton last weekend and caught 10 trout averaging 12 to 16 inches within the day and a half i was there. some kids told me that they just released 3500 trout.

The Tilton is fished out at this point. You'll have to go somewhere far from where the general public goes to catch anything worth while. Waded about 1/2 a mile south from the 508 bridge with my girlfriend and daughters (5 and 7) to the fishing hole we hit the weekend the river opened. We didn't catch anything, not even a bite.
The fishing hole turned into a nice swimming hole after an hour of waiting for a bite. The girls had a great time though, and that's what matters.
The first weekend in June we hit that same hole, and limited in 2 hours. My girlfriend caught a nice 17 inch trout. I love it when she catches a fish - she's always so eager to gut them!
