I fished with my son 8/27, fished with Kinghunter, Tommytitan08 and Atrocious on 8/29 and fished with Tommytitan08 8/30. A rating a 5 isn't high enough. I have learned so much these trips that I am very confident in fishing in rivers. I am meeting almost all of my goals this year. What is pictured are a couple nice Silvers from last thursday and saturday. My son limited out in 6 casts and before me. I glowed watching my boy battle these pinks. We both were pretty sore the next day. I can't stress it enough, if you are new to river fishing and are kinda skeptic on going, I highly, highly recommend putting all your fears behind you and get down to the Puyallup. I witnessed several new anglers hook up cast after cast after cast. They were even using set ups that I was telling myself, "That ain't going to work." But then watch them land a Pink. I know there are hundreds and hundreds of anglers all trying to get a fish, but I never once came across any rude or unfriendly people. I met a handful of very nice people down there. All were very patient and willling to share information. The same girl Tommytitan08 let reel in a fish or two, I also let her reel in 4. She even landed one on her own! I hope this report pushes a fearful angler to go down there, I promise you, won't be disappointed.

Nice report Jens...I did exactly what you suggest in your report...I placed my fear to the side, scouted the day before, developed a plan and went out by myself and had one of the best times in my fishing career!

yeah the puyallup river is having the run of a lifetime right now. I have friends that fish all up and down the puyallup and carbon rivers and they said its the best they have ever seen and they and myself have been fishing it for the past 20 years. Get your fish on this year cuz next year will be much slower. My buddy pulled a 30 lb king out yesterday. He said any color combo of corky and yarn is working but a pink/white combo or red has been getting him lots of silvers and kings atm. Good luck , Tight lines all and go get a king Jens =) .
