If I read the report right, that is snagging at its finest, maybe I shoud call the game warden and have him come down there to help you spot fish. I thought you guys were against snagging, I hope you guys didn't tell anyone about Washingtonlakes.com when you where snagging like that, because you're given the rest of us a bad name.

I'm with you procaster, that is a classic artform of finesse snagging, sounds like it was developed out of frustration, then honed to perfection. So give the guys credit for being original, they probably did not know that what they were doing was against the law, and after reading the comments, will not do it again. My heart goes out for guys like this, that will go out in bitter cold, and fish until their fingers and toes are numb, they have got to have a love for fishing.

i honestly doubt wat we did was illegal... my fish was landed right in the chops btw PROCASTER, and either way thats how all these fish are being landed we could just see the schools, do you actually believe that these fish are biting??? i sure hope not....

I called WDFW this morning. I was unaware the Anti-snagging Rule was lifted on the Puyallup, actually most rivers this rule has been lifted. Even so, having anyone call out to schools of fish is perfectly legal. So put away the tar and feather guys.

Thats snaging at its finest. Just called fish and wildlife and the anti-snag law has not been lifted. And I seen that there was another report posted saying that they had someone spoting them and telling them when to jurk. And I do believe they bit I got lots of silvers and kings that swollowed my corkes

It was nice meeting you down there. I believe they do bite, but not because they are hungry, but they are either fighing for territory or just out of irritation that something is floating towards them. Its great that someone could help spot where the school of fish is and cast into the school in hope of getting one irritated enough to bite, I think GP was able to see the fish go after your corky and that is when he yelled JERK, I have fished with GP and know that he is not like that. I have actually seen people just cast and count to 3 and then just jerk and they were snagging them left and right. I think there is a big difference there. Either way not all will agree with you, just be careful how you post your report next time, there are alot of critics out there.

To reiterate, night closure and anti-snagging rule was lifted December 1st. Fyi.

Brian253 I grew up steelheading on the Snoqualmie.If you fish the mouth of the Tolt you should also try the feed lots it is down stream about 2 miles where the bridge cross's the river again.You will want to fish below the bridge on the left looking down stream. Fish above and below the small island and fish close to the bank. The river is shallow all the way across from the other side to the island.There is a deep channel close to the bank on the side you will be standing on and the fish funnel right past your feet.I always fished bobber and jigs and drift geer with good success.You can also walk down to the next bend,there is a large gravel bar and lots of room to fish.Also if you have a long handled net you will want to bring it along there are some high banks[5-6 ft above the water] near the island.Good luck the Snoqualmie is fun and can be verry productive!!!Tight lines and take a kid fishin .
