Fished Silver Lake (Cowlitz) today struggled to catch 1 fish (4 lb 1
oz) on jig and pig in 2 ft. of water. Wind was blowing from all
directions which made it hard to find a calm spot on lake. Water temp
was 53 degrees with muddy conditions due to wind. Fish were short
striking (pulled off plastic trailers and 1 pork trailer on jigs when
hook set was attempted) The day before Fishing buddy fished the lake
and had the best day ever on the lake with a large fish in the 6 lb
range and 4 more in the 5 pd range. Also talked to an bass angler at the public boat launch that did well
on the 9th too with a large fish in the 7 lb range and 13 more fish of
the day. All fish were released by both anglers.
