Fished the skykomish river on ben howard from 4:30-7:00pm. TONS of fish jumping around.tried bottom fishing eggs and shrimp, different colored spinners and dick nites, also drifted corkies and yarn. had a couple hits but they were so quick i missed them.[could of been trout] a guy on the other side of the river said he could see them in there. about 30 he said. i have fished every weekend in september, and during the week after work sometimes too. with not a single fish. mornings, nites and everything in between.is there somthing i dont know about these coho? i know there in there now, so how do i get them to bite? thanks

River Fisher, I feel your frustration I have noticed that when the coho run without the millons of pinks along side of them that they seem to get lockjaw. next year will be different. the masses of pinks will be running and that irates the coho which causes them to hit your offerings. same goes for the pinks. I was at the 520 bridge today and did'nt get any hits and thru everything at them. I saw some guide boats in the area and did not see any fish boated.
