10/11/2010 4:05:00 PM@ Ryan (baconlover) - I see you're from Bellingham and might not be familiar with Spokane River regulations. Spokane River from Upriver Dam to Idaho border is selective gear rules and C&R only (all game fish)... unless you were being tricky w/ Casey.

I'm betting it would be good too, plenty of ripples and rapids to fish at! I have fished all the way from the sullivan bridge to the railroad bridge seems to be good all thru there

10/12/2010 6:08:00 PM@GritStomper - From wiki- Redband can be synonymous with rainbow trout, but also used to delineate inland sub-species with well-known geographical distributions in the US such as Oncorhynchus mykiss gairdnerii or Oncorhynchus mykiss stonei or Oncorhynchus mykiss newberrii. I've heard there's a club of flyfishermen who try to foster protection of the Spokane River's "native" redband trout.

3/4/2012 6:15:00 PMA true redband is usually 10'' at maturity. A cutbow will have two red-orange slashes at bottom of mouth. Your fish could be a cutthroat.
If you guys are serious about the Spokane River, release the fish you catch. When I first started fishing the river it was nearly fished out, just a thought.
