Launched at Blue Creek around 630-700 am, had to get in line with about 10 other boats waiting to launch. As we readied my rig for the water the boats just kept pouring in to the parking lot. The word is out that there are a few around (combined with the fact that it was a weekend day). We sidedrifted egg clusters, shrimp, and cheaters with yarn the entire time from above blue creek down to just past the high wall below BC. The highwall area below BC was PACKED with boats all day long and it was usually a straight line of 20 boats drifting through, being tenative to your surroundings and graceful on the sticks was a must to keep traffic flowing and avoid confrontation. We saw several fish picked off in this area, but couldn't manage any ourselves... it was by NO MEANS hot... maybe saw 5-6 fish caught down there for 30-50 boats. We headed back up to BC around noon and got away from the crowd, we were amongst about 5 boats from the pumphouse down to the riffle below BC. Second pass through I hooked a pig of a buck directly across from the boat launch, it battled me tough and tested my 10 ft light action side drifting rod with only 10 lb line. We got it to the boat and bonked it, made about 2 more drifts and called it a day around 1:30pm. There are fish around down there, but it is by no means hot, don't expect to go down there and fill the box, we were lucky with the 1 fish we got.

At least your "one" fish was a big one.
