I took David Child (AKA YakFish) from Yakima out for a little pike fishing on the P.O.River. He had never caught a pike before and we hooked him up on this beauty the first morning in some tough fishing conditions. It was just a hair under 10 pounds. Plus he got it on a fly he tied himself on instructions from me on what to tie up.
We let this big girl go to catch another day, Hoped to catch some eater size but we didn't get any small ones. Had a couple other big fish on and lost them. But the real story is the ones we saw in one bay we saw about 15 big pike sunning in the shallows. The smallest one was about 8 pounds and there was one that was friggggging huge!!!!!!!!!!!! It was at least 50"+ no joke!!!
David and I both saw it and I took a picture if it too but it didn't turn out very well trying to shoot through my polarized sunglasses.

Rick, thanks for the great trip. I can't wait to get back up there to feel the big yank of another streamer eating giant. The pictures look great, thanks for emailing them. I don't know if they made it up on this post though. Fish On, David
