So me and some of my buddies headed out to the opener at skok.
got there at 5:30am and went to the cedar hole.
A ton of mosquitoes and a beehive.
no rollers nothing. Saw one fish hooked and that was it.
Left at 11:00am
On the way back to seattle, we saw some idiots fishing over at the purdy cuttoff.
A little boy was netting a king, and his "brother or dad" had a fish on.
I heard that purdy will be open tuesday 8/2/11.

the highlight of the trip. watching a little boy wade through the water and falling in two feet of water.
he tried to swim back to shore. His dad was right beside him the entire time.
He grabbed him by the shoulder and stood him upright.

tight lines

King fisher just get the yarn and corky in front of the fish face they will bite it. some guys use yarn and corky some use just corky some use just yarn. They come up so thick when they go through there you see them coming a 100 yards away .

Must have seen you down there, I was the bald guy throwing eggs at Cedar. No fish after you left, but they were stacked below Purdy Creek.

I used black corky and black yarn for the past 5 years at the Skoke and caught kings when the kings were there (I should say "hooked kings when the kings were there"(they are brutes)). I don't know if it really makes a difference. I saw people with orange, pink, red, silver, trout speckled and all other colors hooking kings. The Cedar Hole, Handicap Hole, Beehive (Claybanks) hole are all productive WHEN the fish are there. The natives on the far bank will let you know where to cast when they're over on their side snagging their fish. Up river near the deadline is also productive but harder to land them. Tight lines all!! >))))*>
