Fished the P.O yesterday and although it wasn't a great day we caught a few nice fish. We put in at Oldtown and fished downriver in Astonfelter bay and Miltners with only 1 fish seen and no fallows. So we fished for smallies a little and I lost my favorite crankbait to a giant smallie.. My fishin partner for the day Mike got a really nice fish (4 lb. 11 oz) up near the dam. Then we went back down stream and fished Fish-N-Fool island and found some nice Pike I got bit by a 10 LB+ Pike on my new S-Waver I just painted and lost it after the first hard run. Then Mike got bit by a pike drop shottin for the toad smallies we saw and it quickly chewed through his 8 lb. test line. About 5 mins. later I got bit again and landed this 26" pike. It was the same fish that he had just lost and it still had the hook and dropshot weight in its mouth, that fish musta been hungry. LOL
We ended up with about 8 smallies on or landed and 3 pike. Beats stayin at home.

Fish-N-Fool Island? Never heard of it. Does it have a number on the map?

What a pig of a BMB, awesome. Rick congratulations on having an island named after you, what an honor. Now where the heck is it? Have fun, live the dream and keep on fish'n.

What I call Fish-N-Fool island is the first Island down stream from Miltners slew. I could not find a real name for it anywhere so I named it myself.. And since I fish it all the time I liked the sound of Fish-N-Fool Island.
