Now that the bulk of the pinks have moved through the lower system it's time to target silvers. Hit the outgoing tide from sunup until about 11am with a couple friends. The rain stopped about the time we hit the river and it was actually a really nice day since the spot we were fishing was down out of the wind. We threw everything you could think of and the final count when I left was 1 pink on a hootchie jig, 1 steelhead (14") on eggs under a float, and bunch of sculpin on both jigs and eggs. There were fish rolling, but just not biting where we were at. My bud's were still fishing when I left, but must not have had any more luck as I didn't recieve any bragging texts!

There's always next time but better to be out there fishing and watching them roll by than to be in an office like me today. :)

Nice! I foulhooked a couple sculpin this season myself so had to release them ;-) Can't wait for those coho. Just hope the nets don't get 'em all. Might have to get out this week for a coho try, think the pinks as you mention are about done in the lower river and getting too greened up (for hens) and humped up (for bucks) above tidal areas. They were fun though this year and put up a decent fight most cases. Let's hope the coho come thru on the Duw! Guess if you aren't catching coho yet then maybe I'll wait since U were outfishing me on the pinks our one day fishing the Duwamish :) Good luck and thanx for the report.
