My son and I went out this morning and threw our lines in the water near the Lewis St bridge and within 5 minutes he had his first Coho. Nice fish in great shape, a little smaller than the one I caught on Friday. After that is was a bunch of Humpies out there that we pulled in for the rest of the morning. All of the Humpies went back because he said that the look of the fish scared him. I guess with the hump and the teeth and all, I can see his point of view. I think the fish know rank amatuers when the see them and my son and I both qualify.

i think your a little past amateurs, 2 trips and both times coming home with a fish sounds pretty decent to me, good job!

Fuki - my son and I went a bit later today near the State Penn - we saw some Silvers darting by but we weren't able to interest them in our lures - thanks for the report - maybe we will head closer to the bride - do you have a good kid friendly spot?

Al Borlin park is a kid friendly place as long as they stay on shore. We have been behind the penetentary and the drop if you slip could be fatal. Also we go to Thomas Eddy and the WSFW spot on 111th off of highway 9. I believe there is shallow bank fishing near Sultan.

fuki - thanks for the help. at the pen there are some shallow bank spots that are kid friendly - farther down is not too bad, the farther you go along the river, the more shallow the bank is. Also higher up, closer to the Pen there are trails back through the woods that lead to nice low river front- that is where we were this time (lack of fish though!) My daughter HATED all the dead fish and the awful smell - my son and I love it.
