Saw reports from here and other places that the chum were still at Minter Creek. Arrived there about an hour or more before high tide. The incoming tide didnt bring any fish in. The runs over but there are still chum swimming up and down the creek.
I caught one and the grandpa with his grandson caught three. Mine was released and they kept thiers. The stench of rotting carcasses and lack of interest caused me to leave. More people had shown up when I left.
There were probably over a hundred chum at the fish ladder behind the marker line. Not sure when those chum came up the creek, but they were all dark and crab bait quality. Till next year, Minter Creek chums.
