This is the 4th time Ive been to the river in the past week and I have only been able to hook one steelhead. I've tried different color yarn and corkies, still no luck. Im not sure what the deal is this year, last year this time I was limiting out in half an hour tops. Seems to be the norm for everyone thus far this year. I'm fishing by the 76 gas station on River Road by the wieght station thing, group of about 10 people up the river about half a mile or so didn't seem to have any better luck. Any tips on anything? My wife is starting to doubt me actually going fishing so I gotta bring home something next time haha. I did feel some bites but nothing really nabbed my line. What are the spots people are getting better luck at? Good luck to all this year, seems like we are all going to need it!

you will most likely find cohos and kings this year. its a little to early in the season for them though. early september will be the best.

Sorry not even year i meant odd year, they will come in next year and i follow the fish cause i have a boat in august i go to langus park in everett then later august, early september i go to cady launch in snohomish, there are a lot of holes around there to fish, then in late september, early oct and through october i fish off the bank of the skykomish and wallace! They are really easy to catch later in the season, early you gotta get the tides right or you wont catch much, all you need is a 6'6" rod with 10lb mono and a pink jig and your set!

Not only aren't pinks running, you sure you hooked a steelhead? The Puyallup doesn't have summerrun, and I've never heard of a winterrun steelhead being caught before late November.
