My girlfriend and I drove up to Edgewater park from Seattle to see if we could have any luck on the Skagit. We arrived at around 5:00 pm. And fished until just after 7:00 pm. Upon arrival, we only saw a few people fishing... Most down on the end of the sand bar closest to Young's Bar.

We plunked spin-glows with Shrimp and I threw out some Silver Spinners for a while as well. We had no luck at all. We did however consistently see some nice sized fish rolling and jumping in the middle of the river and the east side closer to the shore.

I thought with the fishing in the Sound being good the last couple weeks, that the silvers would be showing up in the rivers... With the last few posts, I'm guessing maybe the fish are further up river now...? Does anyone have any input? Am I too early, too late?

Happy Fishing!

We need rain! Most of the fish upriver are hatchery silvers that come in early. The wild fish are trickling in but most of them show up in october. With some rain it will push fish in.

I think we still need a good rain to bring them up.
