Spent the afternoon fishing/scouting the Skookumchuck up by the hatchery. Nice sunny afternoon, low water level with bright green water. Lots of boot coho all over the place, but no luck catching anything, with only one takedown on bobber/jig (all pink). Couple headshakes and it was gone, I never even saw what it was. Threw lottts of different jigs, with/without prawn and with/without sandshrimp oil, and tried eggs too with no luck.
Got some good scouting in though, with the water so low it was easy to see boulders and such that might hold fish when they are in thick.
All in all a great day to be near the water, and a productive day, despite not bringing home any fish.
