Didn't see Yakima River in Kittitas county so Benton will have to do. Got out of the house by 10am for an afternoon of fishing on the Yak. After an hour and a half we arrived in Cle Elum and started out at Memorial Park where we fished for about 2 hours. Only two takes on this section where we caught a 20+ inch cutthroat. It was slow so we decided to move down to where the Teanaway River meets with the Yakima. When I walked up I saw a big bow swimming around in the first pool I saw. After 30 minutes of throwing all sorts of flies at him, he took a skwala dry fly skated on top of the pool. Took about 5 minutes to reel in, nice fight. This rainbow was closer to 18-20 inches. Only two fish in about 4 hours of fishing but still one of the bigger trout that I've caught, especially on the fly. Gonna come back when September comes and river levels are low again.

That cut is a Westslope, or is that a beardsly? Crap, now I do not remember.

Cutty is close to spawning. That's what's with the color. They are awesome! Nice fish.
