Fished the lower North Fork "Garbage Hole" above the bridge on Fir Island. It was an outgoing tide which didn't make much difference as the pinks are everywhere. The location requires a Discovery Pass which helps limit access although a little enforcement might create an additional revenue steam for the State. I lost several pinks in the beginning so I tweaked my hook sideways and landed three in a row using a float and jig/prawn. These fish are fresh out of the salt and seem to be bigger than their brothers in the Skykomish. I floated off the point above the sand bar that disappears at high tide over 9 feet. Their is a nice seam that pushes your float out away from the bar. Its about 5 ft deep on the seam and there maybe a ridge further out since I noticed a slight bottom drag as I moved in toward the shore. Their are a lot of plunkers below the point so you only have about 50 yards to float. Well worth the drive, bring mosquitoes spray too. Great kid friendly spot too. Tight Lines All.

Not sure why they call it garbage hole . Prop boats can launch at Blake, the river is deep enough.
