Fished above rockport today and it paid off! I got there with one of my buddies around 12 ish and had my limit of coho before 2. Caught many pinks as well, but all were very.......very gross. My friend was not so lucky with the silvers unfortunately he lost 4 right at the bank=/. We caught all of our fish today on #4 vibrax either chartreus or orange they hit both. I caught a clipped silver and was wondering if that is legal to keep? I released her because in the regs it says wild coho only but I thought it was strange that there is a mix of clipped/unclipped fish we were catching. Any feedback would be great thanks!!

Yes, you can keep clipped(hatchery) fish.

It doesnt say wild only in the regs, its says limit 4, 2 of which may be wild. This means that only 2 of your 4 fish can be wild (unclipped) but all 4 could be clipped if you want. So next time remember you can only keep TWO wild fish, the other two must be clipped

Nice job by the way on the fish! Its been tougher with the high water, but the fish are there!

Thanks guys! these were my first coho so it was very exciting. I understand you can keep 4 with only 2 of them being wild coho, but what really confused me was......can you keep 4 coho then? with only 2 being wild and 2 being clipped obviously (or whatever the combo is as long as you only keep up to 2 wild of course). The way I interpreted it was that you could only keep 2 coho and the other 2 had to be pinks? May be a rookie mistake but if this is the case I could have kept the other 2 chromers I let go! ahhhh if only the regs were not so hard to understand haha. Either way, great day on the river=]. Will be heading back to the same spot next Monday hopefully for more silvers!

Min. size 12". Daily limit 4 of which only 2 may be wild COHO.
Release CHINOOK and CHUM.

The trick here is "only 2 maybe wild COHO"

Yep you can keep 4 coho, but at least 2 have to be hatchery!
