Hit the 112th street bridge oping for some late coho or chum, tried floating eggs, float and jig, and even a green and orange blue fox spinner! Nothing nothing and nothing. Alot of dead pinks and alot of half alive pinks! the I started noticing some more healthy looking fish traveling in huge schoools right on the shore, and they looked like chum! Casted into the front of the school, and had 1 hit and as I set it boom right into a log whch caused me to lose all of the gear on that perticular set up, and i was using, braid! All in all it was fun to be on the water seeing fish, and ZOMBIES Especially right around halloween! Anyone know any amazing chum fishing spots, and the set up?If u could either respond here or email me that would be awesome! [email protected]

Good question. I was wondering about chum too. This is my first year fishing here. I live in Snohomish. The only good reports I've seen show them on the Olympic Peninsula off Hood Canal.

You should see a decent chum run on the Duwi/Green. They are starting to make their way into Auburn already. Not in big numbers, but they are starting to show up. Eggs should be your first line of attack, also float a jig tipped with raw shrimp/prawns...or if you want to cure your prawns just cure them in fire cure (or cure of your choice) like you would eggs. Some people simply coat them in Borax the night before and fish them that way. And I know we've got drift haters around these parts....but I've seen guys killing them with UV roe beads. Purple, Pink, and Chartreuse seem to be the "go to" colors. Don't be afraid of scent either...shrimp and krill should get them interested. Good luck...I'll be out there somewhere! LOL

Fishing eggs for Chums, is like fishing eggs for humpies. lol. I've had my best luck float fishing jigs with shrimp. Chartreuse, Purple, and pink jigs seem to work the best. Metzler is a popular spot when it opens up, and the mouth of Soos Creek is also popular. Right now, there are better rivers, if you wanna target chums.

Any color jigs with cerise! People catch with green or variations of green. Purple with cerise and even tipped with prawn will be very productive. Chum like to hang in frog water. 3-6 feet deep. Look on the skykomish around sultan. There are some really good chum spots. They spawn like crazy in the Wallace river

Wouldn't waste time effort or the bait fishing roe for chums. You will get lucky however jigs are more or probably the most productive...
