I fished from shore today around the city of Snohomish. Tried Thomas Eddy for a couple of hours and didn't get any bumps. Zero. Zilch. Nada. The only other fisherman there was also getting skunked when I left. Threw the usual gear: Spinners, jigs, various spoons (including dick nite), corkie & yarn, pink worm, and even some weedless bass gear (for the extra snaggy spots).
Moved to the other side of the airport and tried Lawson for another couple of hours. Same result.
I sacrificed a TON of hardware to the river gods today. Lots of wood on the move...

Slow for me too. I fished just upstream from the Pilchuck. Fished spots that really produced earlier in October. Nothing now. I have a real good fish finder and could see fish moving through in small groups. I never saw silvers earlier as they must stay nearer to structure. I did see the Pinks earlier. I'd guess the fish I saw were Chum. Saw no rolling fish for the first time this year. I fished near logs and in the middle in faster water. The only thing I didn't use was my own eggs cause I haven't learned how to cure them yet. Water looked great and level was good. Nice day too just no fish for me. I will need to do my own eggs next year. I'm folding it up for the year. Back to work.
