adding another skunk to my skunk farm. fished eggs/shrimp most of the day. started off mid morning in tukwilla. nobody there. water barely moving. only saw a firetruck coho swimming around. moved up to russell woods park. nice hole. donated some gear and saw no fish. stopped at north green river park and checked out the hole there. saw a lot of gear stuck in the trees on the far bank from people trying to hit the deeper drift over there. again, no fish seen. finally moved up to the beach south of 277th. no fish seen. did see a couple people downstream land on a hole with some fish. saw 2 landed and one unspooled a reel by swimming 100 yds downstream. typical setup being used - bobber, jig, shrimp. seeing other successful reports i guess the fish are swimming with heads down until the upper reaches.

Very Funny Hepker! Your humor does help my own skunk farm from smelling so bad. I hope the Chum hang around long enough so we can get some of them. I hope to get out soon on the green. Have fun!

jd you know i couldnt say it was cute. thats like liking your own post on FB. you dont do it.

tenor, we will get some. im chalking this year/season up to a bad rookie hazing/initiation period. it's been tough and frustrating and certainly expensive in terms of $$ and hour per pound of fish caught. but i caught some fish and hope to catch a couple more before the year ends. learned the rivers, bought new gear, learned how to use the gear, learned how to cure bait, met some cool people. next year i will know how and when to get after it and pull in some fish. plus i wont have to deal with the horrible stench of rotting pinks all over the place!

I like my own Facebook status, because they are mostly just pictures of fish, and I like fish

I feel ya man, its basically my first year really hitting the rivers here in washington. Just pretend like you know what you are doing and eventually you'll catch a few. Hopefully learning the rivers this year will pay off for next year

king gawd i hope so. i def put in the time. couple hundred hours since start of sept. lots of gear lost. been able to catch a pink, coho and chum. just not the numbers i would prefer. but hopefully i'm set up now and have all the basics covered and can hit the ground running in future seasons.
