Hit Reiter Ponds last night after work with my brother. Have to admit our expectations were high after reading the online reports from Sunday. Truth be told fishing turned out to be a little slower than expected. However, I gave the report a five star rating because my brother hooked up and landed his first Steelhead!!! He caught a nice 10 lbs blush buck. The fish put up a good fight complete with acrobatics and several runs before being netted. I went 0/1. Had an exciting two minute fight with a chrome bullet that came unbuttoned when it went airborne. That got the blood pumping! LOL! Saw about 15 fish caught while we were there (Hatchery and Highway side combined). All in all it was a great time on one of the most beautiful rivers around. We'll be back...

One or two reports don't tell the real story, steelhead fishing is rarely awesome any more, changing tactics and moving around can help your chances-you guys each felt a fish-success! Landing them is another story, but good to hear you landed one!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. My brother was really excited and I was for him tool Forgot to mention saw a monster wild buck caught and released. Thing was a beast! Easily high teens if not low twenties. It looked about 2 1/2 times the size of my brothers fish. Took the lucky fisherman about 15 minutes to get it in. Crazy beautiful fish!
