I was fishing from the bank at Al Borlin Park in Monroe. We got there pretty late, around 8:30 am but there were a few jumpers so we were optimistic. Fished jigs from a float for a while, then switched to small spoons with scent. No luck with that, so I fished a backbouncing rig through the deeper holes. Came up with nothing, left just after noon. I saw a few whitefish, plenty of little cutthroat but no salmon. There were a few other anglers fishing eggs from a float and they caught a few steelhead. Action hasn't really heated up on the Sky just yet. Probably better later in July.

Good Luck!

How is the water level at Borlin? Still fast current?

It was fast for the most part, with some good shallow riffles. There were a few places with great slower holding water along the bank. I am looking forward to coming back to this spot later in July.
