Me and and my friend took the family up to the river for the day. We hit the 27th access in the morning til noon then moved to haller park rest of the day. Saw a school of white fish at 27th and a guy putting a decent size fish in his car when we arrived at haller. my friend got a real nice bite in the afternoon, but it quickly spit the hook. No fish but we all had a great day fishing, playing, and bbqing at the river. The best part for me was seeing my oldest son, who is 10, finally catch the fishing bug and seriously hit the river hard with me all day! I hope to get my first silver or steely this year and if I can get my son on one it would be even better. We tried spinners, drifting 50/50, and floating jigs and flies. On the way home we did drive west to the slough and saw some rollers there, but the sun was setting and no time to fish.

My bro and I were there yesterday also. We fished the main run from 6:30 till about 10am. Only saw a few rolling in the main run, and we both only caught 1 rainbow each. The fish are stacked up under the Centennial Trail bridge. There was about a dozen people fishing the forks area and the fish were rolling constantly, but not biting. Your best bet at Haller would be to try to get some of the early forks fish to bite, or just wait until October when the main run of fish come in.
