Took a while for schools to push up, but once they did i had a limit within 30 minutes. Same twitching technique with squid jig. All fish were bright chrome with nice dark pink fillets. I have a video on my GoPro of me catching my first of the day but youtube has been funky lately. I'll try to have it up next report. Tight lines!!

Hey Dj. No need for secret spots but just wondering if you are fishing up river or near the mouth of the snohomish. Want to give it a try since it is really close to home but not sure where to start as the snohomish has plenty of access

I've been itching to go since Monday, but don't know where to start myself. Just got a kayak for my bday, so I'm dying to get back in some type of water as well. Would love to see the GoPro vid, think I'll bring mine out if I go out soon.

@riverhunter the fish are in good numbers from at least the Pilchuck river down, and there are plenty of fish up river as well. If there aren't fish in your spot, wait 20 minutes and there will be. We fished Tuesday just down from highway 9 and the fish were in thick!

the tide matters more than your location, do be near where the fish will pass then be patient. incoming tide will push nice schools of pink up. good job mr. butler!

Thanks a lot for the advice as that should get me started. I guess my question was a little misunderstood. I know the snohomish is tidal but I was leaning more towards if you guys are fishing tidal waters or not. That way I can get an idea of what time would be best to hit it and to target passing fish near the mouth or schooled up more upriver. That will also let me know what kind of gear I should bring.

RiverHunter, im a few miles away from the mouth. The tidal change does not effect the water level too much but rather the number of fish being pushed up. At this point you can go anywhere on the snoho and they will be there.
