Getting slim pickings on the D, not sure if it's the timing of the tides or if all the fish that like pink and white jigs are already on my card. Last couple times out have been tough going. I did manage to hook one very nice hen, small, but she was too pretty to throw back. She had so much chrome on her she looked like a trout.

My buddy the Rookie, who's last proclamation was, "I've got so many fish I'm going to start releasing them!" hasn't hooked a thing since those fateful words were mentioned in 3 trips out now.

I may start wandering to my holes on the other rivers, but the D is so close to home it spoiled me. I also heard the netting is to begin Sat, anyone know if this is true? I couldn't find any info on the web.

Let me close with a comment, if you don't like seeing reports on rivers you fish, then why are you here? This forum is about sharing, believe me there's plenty of fish out there for everyone. Don't get salty on 5* reports, if you don't like it its very simple, don't come here and read where the fishing is hot, those of us here that want to participate and share with each other. Participation is optional!

Tight lines!

The Muckleshoots net fishery in Elliot Bay and the Duwamish will open Sunday the 13th and end Friday noon the18th? nets will be allowed up to the 16th ave bridge. As for pinks just go up into the Green they are all over. You might want to try dick nit es or eggs, but I m sure what your using will work. O the other hand silvers are starting to show. In the Duwamish they mostly bite on the end of the outgoing tide. If you have a boat troll red wiggle warts or troll herring behind a green fishflash.

I agree. But i guess its a double edge sword. I found a decent spot on the green and managed to pull out a limit. Then i was walking down the trail and ran into a little group of fisherman. I told them what i was doing and left. I came back 2 days later around the same time and couldnt find parking. I think most people that visit this site really just come to see how the rivers are doing. Especially now that the internet can be access anywhere. Theres alot of newbies out there. Its good to help. But like i said. It is really a double edge sword.
