Checked out the Carbon River for the first time!

Fished behind the treatment plant and hooked into a couple of pinks. Man, they are in rough shape by the time they get to the carbon. Tired and wounded, poor fish!

Also got to check out the area a bit. Did not go down to check out the hatchery holes as it looked like a looooong walk.

Had a heck of a time figuring out where the skate park was (I ended up not finding it), but I did find the two areas where parking is allowed.

I'd visit more often if I lived closer. I'd say there were about 15 anglers on the stretch there.

This is now you get to the skate park....When you leave the treatment plant next time, turn left onto 162 like you are going into the town area, pass McD's, Safeway etc, and go through the red light at the Calistoga intersection,,,pass the playground park and go straight at the 90 degree curve...the skate park are is down So. Washington St...make sense?
