i arrived at smalktalk hole around 10:00am. twitched jigs until about 2:00 pm, i started off with a black/purple 3/8oz jig and caught and released 6 dark humpies, and lost a really nice sized cohi to some logs. after that i moved away fron the logs, and mr. fishdude showed up, just before he got to the hole i landed a chrome buck coho on a 1/4oz white/pearl flash jig, i also got another dark humpy on that jig . i ended up losing my black/purple jigs and my only white jig, and the action slowed diwn a bit. i missed a few hits on a purple rabbit fur jig after that then i left. ended up catching 7 humpies and went 1/2 on coho.

are you letting the jigs drop to the bottom and jigging back or starting your jigging at the start of the retrieve?

the jig MUST reach bottom before you start jigging. i count 1 second per foot deep i think it is. or wait until the line slacks, letting me know i hit bottom. keeping your jig 4"-16" off bottom during your retrieve is optimal. if your not just off bottom your not fishing.
