Okay, I dont know how you will rate this report, good and bad. I fished my FaVehole in sky. Mainly checking if some Coho made it that far. I saw some jumping but not to get too excited bout... So waited for awhile till I can see my main line before I started fishing. I got two pole with me one for jigging and other one bobber and jig. Most of my fish caught on my bobber set up, with all colors colors of jig I made, pink, purple, green and even white. Pinks are all over those jig. Good to say I did reach those over 35 caught and released numbers. My elbow and shoulder now sore. Not that I'm complaining. lol.

Now unto the bad part. As I called it a day and my shoulder had enough fun. Cleaned my fish and head back to the car with my limit. And to my surprise, a warden was standing next to my car. Now my heart start pumping, nerve racing like I hook into a 40 lbs king. In my head someone might have broken into my car. So as I get closer mr. Warden ask me hows fishing today. So I told him yah I got my limit and released a bunch more.then he check on my license, ID ,my catch card( which is marked). And ask if I got any hens today. In my head I was like cant he tell by the look of the fish I am carrying? So I said "yes" I have four. Then he insisted to see the roe. So I gave it to him. He then put his gloves on and start pulling out the roe out of the ziploc bag and start counting them. Now in my head I am really curious on what's going on. So I starting asking questions. Then I found out that someone had called in and report a poaching happening. Man it just boils my blood pressure really high. Just because your the only one having so much luck in the river and people thinks your poaching? Boy people can be just a sour losers and such a jealous bum.so mr. Warden didn't see any sign of poaching on me. So he said for me to just be careful and he head out his way.

So this event is the very first time happen to me. I would just appreciate it more if you just come to me and ask me what am I using that is so successful that day, and I will gladly give you some pointer, jigs or whatever.to be called a poacher or snagger when I'm catching fish ligit, damn just insulting.

Had almost the exact same thing happen to me on Tuesday. I too was running a pretty standard bobber and homemade jig, it just seems if you're the only one catching fish you're obviously a poacher in some people's minds.

Don't let them get you down, just show the warden you're legal and go on about your business. Way I see it if people get that upset then that's their problem, you know you're in the right and any enforcement officer who checks you knows it too.

in all fairness i have seen alot of full blown blatant poaching on the sky in the past. and im glad thete are wardebs checking stuff out this year.
ill also be the first to vouch for mr.huli isda as a legitamate law obiding angler. perhaps the wardens werent called, maybe they are actually patrolling the river this year..

very unfortunate that some anglers cannot tell the difference between poaching, snagging, and plain old true and legal (relaxing) fishing. oh well fish on and "may the river gods provide more great fight and tight lines".

Haha having a warden called in on me would make my day! When you're fishing legit and outfishing everyone, a warden would just boost my #humpyego! Plus I haven't seen a warden in two years on either river, so it makes me happy to actually see that they care (to some degree- they still haven't answered any of my poaching reports.) Good job smackin them humpies.

Just be glad the warden is out there doing his job, they are having a problem with poachers hooking Pinks and just taking eggs and throwing them back in the river. Some people have no scruples and I'm glad you are one of the good guys.

That is odd, HULI. But I am glad the Gammies are out checking.

A few years ago i was fishing the lower Sky, twitching hoochie jigs and catching lots. No one else around me was having luck. But none of them were twitching jigs either. Anyway, i was getting odd looks from some of the others and even heard one guy speculating i was snagging. Of course I wasn't. You know how easy pinks are to catch. As I was getting ready to hang it up for the day, one young kid walked up to see what I was doing. So I gave him a couple of my jigs and gave him a quick lesson--you know, let it sink and then real short dollar bill length twitches. Sure as heck, he started hooking up. Man, those other dudes were none too happy. But I was thrilled to see the young kick kicking butt.
