Started out near the I-5 bridge, saw plenty of jumpers on the far bank, out of range for me and my son. Did have 1 hit but no hook up. After about an hour we moved over to the little city park accross from BECU, her as we were getting set up there were jumpers every few seconds it seemed. Tide was still rolling in and we lost beach surface almost every cast. All of a sudden no more jumpers, then we could hear a very big splash down river but could not see it. Then we saw some large splashes and soon had either a seal or sealion swimming 30 yards from us. Everytime we thought he was gone he would surface again. No fish caught, but kinda cool to see him up river like that even if it did ruin any chance of catching anything.

I guess everyone is fishing. Nice little park, I fish there too.

Today was a rough morning with all the pinnipeds around. I've seen a big sea lion up as far as south center with the tide last year. That's when I pack up. Sea lion = no fish nearby.
