Your in the wrong spot for low water conditions. Your spot will be better once we get some serious rain. Until then go further upstream. If your in a boat I urge you to try douglas bar.

RL, I know how you feel about that area you are fishing. I like it, but it isn't where they are holding this year. Also, I doubt that area is a spawning site for silvers - so it is pretty dead.

Like Jon said, I've gone to Doug Bar and the silvers are all over. They aren't real cooperative, but are they ever real easy? The pinks are easy while the silvers are lots of work.

Good luck.

First light or overcast eggs darn near on bottom, when the sun comes out switch to jigs in deeper water and spinners in shallow water, if you stick to this program you WILL be successful.

Actually they can be real easy sometimes goldrigger, one time I was fishing for trout with a 6lb ul set up and caught 30+ coho (wasnt counting) and lost many more in a matter of 4 or 5 hours. I through my tackle box at them and they obliged on EVERY offering I threw except worms.. the trick for that was finding a secluded location where no one has fished in weeks or even months... which is almost an impossible feat, but when you do, well rested coho can be some of the bitiest most aggressive fish youll ever find.

jonb, you certainly have my attention with that kind of talk. Thanks for restoring the faith. I hope to make it out on the river again soon.
