First post on here, a bit late but better late then never!!

AREA
Big bend just south of the 405 overpass

GEAR
7ft rod, 10lb test, spinner reel

TACKLE
#4 Silver Blue Fox with scales on the blade

METHOD
Cast cross current and retrieved down stream

THE HOOK UP!!
Had been targeting the silvers for a few day with nothing to show but broken dreams and lots of blackberry stretches.
Must have been 10 guys in this one small spot but somehow I managed to slide in and join the action.
Get set up and start casting across the river, fish surfacing everywhere and then third cast in, BAM fish on!!
Landed what turned out to be a beautiful wild han.

Thanks for reading, please clean up after yourselves in public fishing areas!!

Do you ever search for reports of an area before planning a trip? Maybe look to see what gear and where, when and how people catch fish? The report seems just as valuable as any other to me.

Thanks for the contribution PNWfish. Nicely written report, It will be appreciated by many people that use the well set-up search functions on this site for many years to come!

When I heard Due Amish I was thinking yuk because I used to work up on harbor island. Nasty water up there. But being that far south in September doesn't sound that bad. The fish looks health too. May try next fall. Thanks

Thank you for the report and I agree; better late than never. Many people will be better fishermen because of your detailed information. At my end any fish picture is good, whether it was caught this morning or two years ago they all get me jazzed up and ready to hit the water.
