Finally got a float tube and decided to hit the lake in the woods. After about 20 minutes I had my first bass of the year. A massive 6 incher. After that I caught another small one around 10 inches. I decided to start targeting some of the structure. First cast at a down tree got a 4.5lber. Beautiful fish and put up a very nice fight. All I have to say is I am glad I spooled that reel with braid because if it was the old mono it would've snapped when he dove into the structure. I caught 2 more around 1lb before getting raped by the wind and blown to the opposite end of the lake and had to kick all the way back to my entry point. All in all good day and finally have some bass under my belt for this year.
