It was about a week ago, another cold, windy and rainy day for me, so, time to get some fishing in. Hit the water after work at probably by nine a.m.. Finally found the color, depth and flavor they wanted, then it was on. Released four or five before I started keeping them. Released and lost plenty more before I was done for the day. Got a nice little cutthroat too, around 14" and I don't really think there was a crappie under nine inches. Can't really say where this lake is, it's just one of my few honey holes in which I'm sworn to secrecy. These ones are on the smaller side though, if you check out reports from a ways back in the secret section, there's better and more 12 and 14 inch slabs.

Thanks Rollin, it's been a while since I posted a report, but I usually only post the winter reports as I just don't have much time for fishing in the summer, let alone more reports. As for Whatcom, I haven't fished up that way for quite some time, and even then, it was with a bassmaster guy, so we were bass fishin outta his 72mph skeeter bass boat. Lemme tell ya, a 17 1/2 boat goin that fast is scarrrrrry!

to any crappie guys, i know a "secret" pond that i don't really fish any more, that is in Aurburn, That s how secret it is I can say that city and no one will ever find it. The biggest crappie i have seen, my brother caught was 17 and 1/2 inches and i caught a twelve inch blue gill. There is large mouth also i saw a dead one, years ago that was about six pound or so but my biggest is only about 2. You need a float tube though cause the trail is to small to get a boat through. my e-mail is [email protected] if any body is interested.
