The plan was to get some nice fish on Roosevelt Friday afternoon and Saturday with the new 20' North River. We launched at spring canyon and decided to fish Swallila Bay for Koks and Bows but were unable to locate them. The fish were simply not in there. We only put in a few hours without any luck...which is rare but does happen when they are messing with the Dam. The water level definitely does not help the fishing. We decided to hit a couple spots that regularly produce fish on our way back to spring canyon...we located fish but did not take the necessary time to get them as it was getting late. If we had put in the time I have no doubt we could have caught some nice koks...

We contemplated going after walleye on Saturday but ended up taking the boat down to Rufus where we knew there would be action as well as the possibility of a monster.

I will be back over for Memorial weekend in search of the state record kokanee!
