Got on the water at about 5:45 am. Water was lightly choppy all day, as the wind did not want to settle. Used a variety of trolling methods, but found that green with some pink in the porcupine bay area was the most productive on the bottom. Moved up river and fished several locations with minimal luck. Up river I only got 2 smallies (decent size) and 1 walleye (only 12"). Moved back into the porcupine bay area in the afternoon and had better luck. Overall for the day got 8 walleye, 2 smallmouth, and 1 perch. Most walleye were caught in around 20 feet of water. Biggest walleye today only went 15". Talking with people, the biggest one that I heard was caught was 19" for the day.
