5/10/2010 11:48:00 PMDon't give up, last year was my first time on my own and only caught one springer. This year I had over 12 in the boat in a week and lost twice as many. You just have to pay your time and things will get better.

fished the columbia all day saturday trolling herring, we tried green and blue cut plug around 18" off bottom, we tried a few with flashers and some with none at the same time, and also anchored out with herring and kwikfish wrapped in sardine. after my friend fished all day friday with no fish, and we went out saturday all day with the same results i must say this columbia fishing for springers that was supposed to be "hot" was way over rated.. i saw other people doing alright , and guides doing fair, but being completely new to the columbia and this technique of fishing, we had no luck. i can say i will never fish the columbia again
