This was the day just to get out on the water. High cloud cover with increasing wind. High water levels and water temp. was 45 dgreees. I was fishing for Walleye with Macks lure type set-up with silver smile blade, 2", and had two bites with no hook sets. I was fishing from my 16' Lund Rebel with Merc 50 h.p. I put in above Vernita bridge and motored across the river to the west side in about 16' of water. I put in at noon and pulled out about 3:30. When the wind is up, 15 -20 mph, you can still fish this section of river without much problem. No wind waves.
