Well after a great day on Sat we deceided it was time to take the wife out and my buddys son and hit the river again. We hit the same areas we did the day before and ended up catching over a 100 fish between the 4 of us. I thought the day before was good but boy did we put some good size fish in the boat today. Most of the fish were caught on jigs. I ended up with a nice 22" fish being the biggest for the day but had several fish in the 18" and 19" range. We try and only keep fish that are over 14" everything else goes back. Seems like if you keep those sub 14" fish you dont get much meat off of them. Doesnt get much better a fishing than what we had this weekend...Good luck fishing everyone...Give us a call if your interested in going after some Walleye....

How do you end up with over a 100 fish with 4 people at 8 fish per limit? Just wondering is that for several days of fishing. Lots of nice fillets there, we have been knock them dead of the bank on the Spokane arm.

Didnt mean we kept that many LOL.... You can catch and release as many fish as you want. We only kept the bigger ones twords our limits, fish that were over 14". No thats one day of fishing.. I think in 2 days we boated over 170 fish between 4 of us fishing each day...Sorry for the misunderstanding..

Aren't there restrictions on how many you can catch and release if you're using bait?

He didn't keep over 100 fish. You can boat as many walleye and other fish as you want, but you can only keep your legal limit. Trout fishing has the bait(each one caught with bait counts as your daily limit whether you keep it or not) restriction.

Not using bait for these fish just a jig body...We do use worms on the spinners when we troll. If that fish was caught early in the year I would have released it to spawn thinking it was a female, ended up being a male as it was...22" is my cutoff for Walleye kinda like the 25" I have for Pike, I'm not just catch and release on Pike but I am a supporter of releasing the bigger ones so we can hopefully turn the Pend Oreille River into a trophy fishery...Good luck fishing everyone
