After all of the bad reports from Roosevelt I had to go and check it out. Arrived at launch around 7:00am. Fished Hawk Creek, San Poil mouth, White Rock, Lundstrom Bay. We long lined two plugs 300' and two mini squids off the down riggers. Lost two off mini squid (pink). The rest of the action was on the plugs. We boated 6 fish, 5 of which were very nice (all over 20"). I rarely keep fish, but my buddy wanted to keep three to smoke. Many short bites today. I think planner boards would be a good idea.
All the fish were covered in Copepods and several were spitting up large quanities of plankton. I add that because it seems out of character for this time of year?
