Took my dad for the first time since June 1 2012 for some walleye fishing. We were on the water by 7:45 and had our first walleye in the boat by 8:15. We thought we would be able to limit out with such a great start. That was it for the rest of the day. We did not see any other fisherman near us catch a fish. We fished the cemetery, porcupine bay, the flats across porcupine and all the way up to buoy 5. Not one boat up at buoy 5. At one point we counted 11 boats on the flats across from porcupine. At the launch were two fisherman who said they had their limit of 32. I think the fishing was tough for most. We were using 3/8 oz fireball jigs with crawler. It was a cool morning 37 degrees, windy at times. It did warm up nicely and turned out to be a beautiful day for April 2. Love to here other reports as I am anxious to get back out to catch some eyes. Tight lines. Packer nut.

I'm a transplant to Seattle area from Minnesota and miss walleye fishing fiercely. I have a small (12 ft) boat that is actually pretty wide and am wondering how it would fare on Roosevelt. I'd also like some help on lodging in the immediate vicinity. Any help from my fishing brothers?
