We launched at Spring Canyon a little after 10:00, and started trolling immediately toward the dam. Orange Rapala on the side planer (this was the killer lure a week ago) got one hit, but it got off. Also had a jointed orange Rapala on the downrigger, with no success. After trolling all the way to Crescent Bay, I picked up one nice 19" rainbow on the way back up to Spring Canyon. We continued trolling up to Plum Point, catching several nice rainbows, all on worm-tipped perch Kekedas. Not much luck in Swawilla Basin, but finished the day at sunset with 7 rainbows between two of us, using four rods, almost all fish caught on the Kekedas down 10 to 20 feet. Hard to find the fish, and the "killer" lure seems to change day to day, or hour to hour.

Nice job! Way to get out there and get some fish. Compared to posts of recent this is a pretty good day. Thanks for sharing. -Dave

I think you hit it on the head. Lure changes from hour to hour. Talked to local the other day and he said changing blade colors made the difference. Thanks for the report.
