Glenn, Larry and I launched out of Porcupine Bay and fished Laphams, Blue Crick and the Graveyard. We were jigging in 25-35 FOW and caught 33 eyes, 8 smallies, and 2 rainbows for the day. Green jig head and green worm with a chartreuse tail produced best. We kept 25 eyes to eat; Glenn caught a 6, a 5 and two 4s that we released as well as 2 smallies that were close to 4 lbs. We tied numbers wise but he definitely had the best day size wise. Larry added a half dozen, this was his first trip out with us and he didn't do half bad.

Amazing report! Could I please ask how far Laphams and the Graveyard are from the launch?

Cielo: Laphams is just a couple of minutes from the Porky launch, basically take an immediate right from the launch and head towards the red house/barn up on the top of the hill. There is a large gravel bar near there where the eyes love to congregate this time of year. The graveyard is to the left after you launch and is about 10 minutes down river on the right side, look for the head stones.
Apex: we only caught 2 eyes that were less than 16 inches, they are definitely fattening up before the spawn.

Nice to see somebody keeping the small mouth, they are tasty out of cold water that is for sure. Still only finding smalleye in the arm and a lot of trout.

Cielo:
Checking my charts Laphams is approx 1 1/3 nautical miles up river. The cemetery is Approx. 1 nautical mile down river.
Fished it sunday as well and picked up a few also.

Thanks in bunches, CCTMark and Ridgeratt. I ask because I'd love to spend a day on that remote water, but fish from an inflatable pontoon. It works really well, but getting to locations is an investment for sure. It looks like the whole area might produce if I could stay on seems and structures within the right depths. If I can manage the drive from the Sound, I'll report back asap. I'm hoping for a trip in the next two weeks. Thanks again.
