Sockeye fishing here at the Brewster pool continues to be amazing. These fish are in amazing shape and put up quite a tussle. Morning seems to be most productive but fish can be caught throughout the entire day. This is one of the most exciting fisheries I have ever fished. When fishing is marginal we will usually hook up a couple doubles a day. When fishing is fabulous we usually hook up triples and quads. There is never a dull moment here at the Brewster pool.

The sockeye have been averaging 18 to 23 inches, and the Chinook seem to be running large this year. Biggest hatchery we've got has been 30 pounds. The Chinook have been a little harder to come by. Not as productive as in past years. It seems as if they are moving up the Okanogan river already.

Yesterday I fished with my dad, uncle, and cousins from Minnesota. It was a lot of fun to show them a really good time. We managed to catch four limits of sockeye in three hours. That's about one fish every 7 1/2 minutes. I definitely rate fishing at the Brewster pool for sockeye a five.

If you would like to experience this amazing fishery and don't have the time to figure it out on your own, Give me a call. I enjoy showing people a good time.

Captain Dave! I gotta ask if you are still working out of the Brewster pool?
Did they get any of the rain Spokane got last night? Not sure I want to drive all that way if the fish are going to start the run up.

It did rain up here a little bit. The water temps have cooled by about 4°. Fishing today has been really good. We got another four limits and 3 1/2 hours. I would guess that we are going to lose some fish tonight up The river, but we won't know until tomorrow.

The USGS website, for river conditions, will show you current river temps and flows for the Okanogan river (at Malott). This will give you an up-to-date trending of the conditions.
