We arrived late Fri afternoon at Fort Spokane to launch the boat. As we were launching, two boats pulled in and reported they hadn't a bite all day down river at White Stone. Not the report I wanted to hear. We headed to the Hawk Creek area to search for walleye but nothing so fished trout back to the marina at Two Rivers. That night we fished for burbot and managed two decent sized fish. Not killing them but better than a skunk.

The next morning, we headed to Sterling Point to try our luck and early on was very slow. No bite slow. Around 9 ish, we hooked our first two rainbows. both on rapalas 3.2mph. then back to nothing. At noon we headed back to the mouth of the Spokane River and managed one 15" walleye then another 17" rainbow.

Thanks for posting "How to fillet a burbot", E-10. I have never tried the belly part of the fish. Didn't know it was edible.
